The Easy-Radio 2nd generation radio modules are avialable in the 434 MHz band (10 frequency channels) and in the 868 / 915 MHz band (one channel for European and one for US-applications); they provide a fast and easy way to realize low power radio data transmission applications in license exempt frequency bands. The modules are suitable for digital data transmission and offer ranges up to 300 m LOS. There are bi-directional (transceivers) as well as uni-directional (transmitter and receiver) modules available.

All modules employ integrated Easy-Radio technology; the integrated protocol takes care of bit-coding and data integrity (CRC). The user can transmit and receive data to and from the Easy-Radio module via UART or SPI.

The configuration of the modules is done via the host interface using ASCII commands and a unique command sequence which ensures that random data cannot be accidentally interpreted as configuration command. Frequencies, data rates. transmit power and other parameters can be configured so that the modules can be optimized for a variety of applications.

For low volume applications it is often too expensive to develop a custom PC-Gateway. This is an ideal situation for our Easy-Radio USB-stick. Simply load and install the USB driver, insert the USB-stick and your PC or Laptop can talk to any Easy-Radio modulen through a virtual COM port.

Easy-Radio USB-sticks are available as ER400USB for the 434 MHz frequency band and as ER900USB for the 868/915 MHz frequency band.

For the professional developer and for low volume production environments the Easy-Radio Tester/Programmer ER-TP01-RS is a very versatile instrument. It contains a ZIF-socket, which allows fast and easy high quality contact with Easy-Radio modules for configuring, testing and programming. Operating voltage can be switched on and off via push button so that handling the modules can be performed in a clean and professional manner.

The integrated SMA-connector allows for connecting the antenna or direct interfacing with a spectrum analyzer for quality control or test purposes. Operating instructions and a mains adapter is also contained in the shipment.
